Audrey speaks to women everywhere ... in the countryside and the city... at luncheons, teas, banquets, and retreats.

For a Chicago church, I developed a topic, "Redeemed." As a professional speaker and teacher, when requested, I work with groups to develop a topic of their choice. That is how the topic "Redeemed" was created for a women's group. I wrote about my personal experience of being redeemed and transformed by Christ in my current book, The Girl Who Learned to Live Life Better, and then I was asked to talk about the topic for a weekend retreat. Though I have topic choices available, I will work with groups on their preferences for their retreat, luncheons, or women's teas. Be in touch, and we can talk. AudreyMarie

Audrey Marie is a vetted Stonecroft Ministry Christian Women's speaker, speaking to women everywhere, where she is, as she is.

The Stages of Grief offer insights for those who grieve, but the Lord is the most significant source of help on the grief journey.
Whether it’s your first step, or you have walked a thousand footsteps on the path of grief, the Good Shepherd extends His hand of help and hope toward you. The Lord will guide you as a shepherd leads his sheep during any stage of your grief journey. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your path.
The idea that we go through stages of grief was introduced by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross in her 1969 book On Death and Dying, based on her work with terminally ill patients.
The Five Stages of Grief Model
Denial – A feeling of shock or disbelief; refusal to accept the reality of the loss.
Anger – Frustration and resentment, sometimes directed at others, oneself, God, or the person lost.
Bargaining – Attempting to negotiate or make deals to reverse or lessen the impact of the loss.
Depression – Deep sadness and despair as the weight of the loss settles in.
Acceptance – Coming to terms with the reality of the loss and finding ways to move forward.
The five stages of grief include denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. These stages represent the emotional journey people often experience when facing loss, whether it be from death, divorce, illness, or any significant life change. Grief, however, is not a linear process; individuals may move back and forth between stages, revisit certain emotions, or even skip some entirely. Grief can involve additional emotions like guilt, anxiety, or relief. When mourning a loved one, the stages of grief provide a framework for understanding emotional responses. However, if you lean on the Lord for guidance, as you acknowledge Him, know this—Jesus will lead your path even in the valley of the shadow of death. He is the Good Shepherd.
